M.A.D Celebration!!!

On 29th August, at 9.02 a.m. sharp...LET'S GET MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our club is participating in the M.A.D(Making a Difference) project sponsored by the Lions Club of Ipoh Metro New Century. On the date referred, 40 Leo clubs will be organizing an eco-based project at their school (or the school of their choice for Omega) or a welfare home.

The objective of this project is to celebrate our 40 year anniversary of Leo Clubs in Malaysia. 30 of our members would be planting around the area between our Canteen and School Pondok. Also, we'll be recycling newspapers on the same day too!!! So bring your newspapers this week in order to contribute for the event! For the newspapers, please leave them at the unused PBSM stairs in the floor between the 1st floor and ground floor or find Brandon Choo (4B) for the place to put them.
Together, we can Make A Difference!!!

Leo and Lion Sports Day 2010 Report

On 18th July 2010, the Leo and Lion Sports Day 2010 was held at 3K Field at 8.00 a.m. The event's emcee was Leo Vivien Chew from the Leo Club of Ampang City Garden Benevolent Unity. The event started off with the Leo Pledge by Leo Darius Beh, the project's A.O.C. After that, the event is continued with a speech by the Organizing Chairperson, Leo Chin Kar Yern. Then, Lion Ivan from the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya and Lion Jean Teoh from the Lions Club of Ampang City Garden were invited to unroll the banner for the opening ceremony.
After that, the event kicked off with the Boys 100m Sprint, followed by the Girls. Following that was the 4x100m Boys and Girls. Next was the Three-Legged Race. Then, there was a short break as the Committee members set up the field for Frisbee. The Frisbee rounds started immediately after. After the Frisbee rounds, the participants were able to leave for lunch break as the committee sets up he field for the Mini-Football rounds. The Tug of War was held at the same time with the Mini-Football to save time as the games have been delayed due to heavy rain. Around the finals of Mini-Football, the medals and trophies were presented by RCC Nicholas Seow.
Overall, our club has won first place for Frisbee and third place for Three-Legged Race! It was an exciting event as members get to have fun and at the same time bond with members from other Leo clubs!
