Last night, (24-7-10) was the Leo Club of SMK Bandar Utama Damansara (3)'s Formation Nite. The event started around 6.30 p.m. and was held at Holiday Villa. It started off with Role Call by all Leo and Lion Clubs that attended the project. Then, the event was continued with the National Anthem and the Initiation Ceremony of the Leos of BU3. In total, 146 Leos were installed by RCC Nicholas Seow.
After that, dinner was served! There was an unlimited supply of orange juice. Delicacies available at the buffet counters: Sandwiches, fried rice, mee hoon, spring rolls, curry puffs, cakes, fruits.
After that, the night was continued on by the installation of the board of directors by DC Alan Thoo.
Then there was a speech by the Organizing Chairperson of the event, followed by a speech by the President of Lions Club of Sunway and DC Alan Thoo. After the Souvenir Presentation to the VIPs, the event was continued on by an interesting performance of the song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and a few musical numbers by the Trumpet Band of BU3, followed by a dance group and a band called "Timothy's Band". Also, Leo Zenny from IMO(Ipoh Metro Omega) sang "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" by the famous broadway musical Dreamgirls.
Then, the Nite ended with the Dance Floor at 11 p.m.. Overall, it was an okay event. Looking forward to see the new club's upcoming projects.
